Acknowledgement of Risks
I understand that participating in the Bloom Bar may involve the use of:
- Fresh flowers and foliage
- Floral snips, scissors, knives, and other sharp tools
- Floral wire
- Glass vases and ceramic containers
- Floral foam (Oasis®) and other floral mechanics
- Water and wet surfaces
- Cardboard packaging and wrapping materials
I acknowledge that participation may involve risks including, but not limited to:
- Cuts or punctures
- Slips or falls caused by water or plant material
- Broken glass
- Allergic reactions to flowers, pollen, foliage, or plant sap
- Skin irritation from floral products
- Minor strains from lifting containers or floral materials
I voluntarily choose to participate knowing these risks exist.
Health & Allergies
I understand that flowers, pollen, greenery, and plant sap may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.
I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to notify a BLOOMDIGGITY team member if I have any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions that may affect my participation.
Assumption of Responsibility
I agree to:
- Follow all instructions provided by BLOOMDIGGITY staff.
- Use all tools responsibly.
- Ask for assistance if I am unsure how to safely use any tool or floral mechanic.
- Exercise reasonable care while participating.
Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Alberta, I release and hold harmless BLOOMDIGGITY Floral Studio, its owners, employees, contractors, and volunteers from claims arising from ordinary negligence related to my participation in the Bloom Bar.
This release does not apply to liability resulting from gross negligence, reckless conduct, or intentional misconduct.
Footwear
For your safety, closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended while participating in the Bloom Bar due to the use of sharp tools, glass containers, water, and floral materials. Participants choosing to wear open-toed footwear do so at their own risk.
Property Damage
I understand that I am responsible for damage caused by my intentional or careless actions to studio property, equipment, or tools beyond ordinary wear and tear.
Minors
Participants under 18 years of age must have this waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. The BLOOM Bar is designed for participants 8 years of age and older. Children aged 8–15 must be accompanied and directly supervised by a participating parent or legal guardian throughout the experience.
Studio Expectations
To help create a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming experience for everyone, I agree to:
- Follow all instructions provided by BLOOMDIGGITY staff.
- Treat fellow participants, staff, tools, flowers, and studio property with respect and care.
- Keep my workspace tidy and notify a staff member if large spills occur or glass is broken.
- Use floral tools only for their intended purpose.
- Ask for assistance if I am unsure how to safely use any tool or floral mechanic.
- Always supervise any child in my care.
- Understand that the Bloom Bar is intended for participants 8 years of age and older. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, unless otherwise approved by BLOOMDIGGITY.
Participant Agreement

- I have read and understand this waiver.
- I have had the opportunity to ask questions.
- I voluntarily agree to participate.
