FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Flower Orders
We stand by our product, and treat every creation with care and attention to detail. If we don’t want to send it to our own mom, it certainly isn’t going to yours!
That being said, we work closely with Mother Nature and have to respect her beautiful but unpredictable ways... Between her, a third-party delivery service, and the equally ‘moody’ weather of Southern Alberta, there are occasions in which flowers may fade before their time. If the flowers you receive are not satisfactory, please email us a picture to [email protected] within 24 hours and we will take care of you!
Floral longevity can be affected by flower varieties and care upon arrival. We guarantee our flowers for 3 – 5 days from arrival. If your blooms begin to fade in this time frame, please call us directly at 403-331-5661 and we will help figure out what happened and ensure you are taken care of.
Hand-tied simply means ‘without a vase’, whereas designed arrangements come complete in a vase or ceramic container. Hand-tied bouquets are still ‘designed’ to the extent that all the recipient has to do is remove the decorative wrapping and follow the care instructions provided – they do not have to pull the flowers apart and re-design into the vase (unless they want to!).
Hey, life happens -- we totally understand. Whatever your reasons, e-mail our team at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request. Changes to alternate days are easy! If you need to cancel an order, you will be offered an in store credit.

You betcha! Write to us at [email protected] or call us directly at 403-331-5661 and we will apply those changes for you. We’ll let you know what to expect in terms of delivery fees and give you options to suit your needs. You can add in flowers to cover the cost of a pre-paid delivery fee, or opt for an in-store credit.
Yes! We offer same day delivery for any order placed before 12 PM. After 12 PM, it may not be able to be delivered same day. Please call us at 403-331-5661 if you have any concerns.
Please note, as we are a shop that specializes in fresh, custom floral designs, higher order volumes during Floral Holidays may require more advance notice for new orders. We will do our best to communicate this with our clients during said holidays.
* We provide our drivers a 1.5 hour window for each delivery. Highly specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed, but please let us know if deliveries must be out before certain times and we will do our best to accommodate.
** We are required to contact recipients before delivery to ensure your flowers are received by the person intended, at the correct address, with minimal risk of damage to the design.
Because we are required to contact recipients before delivery, your order will not be delivered until we have reached the recipient directly. Should we be unable to contact them, we will reach out to you to give you an update and ask for alternate phone numbers.
Flower Care & Helpful Information
Yes! Tropical blooms thrive in naturally humid environments. By misting the tropical blooms in your design every 2 days, you can momentarily re-create their natural environment, helping them stay hydrated and happy for longer.
Fresh-cut flowers literally cannot be over watered like their plant counterparts. So water away! We recommend filling your vase or container full every day. Filling your container with water on a daily basis helps flush out older water, meaning less fuss in trying to remove stems/foliage from the vase to clean it out.
By all means! Especially where flowers in vases are concerned, removing the flowers, refreshing the water, and re-cutting the stems before putting them back in the vase helps prolong the life of your flowers as it re-opens the stem for better H2O absorption!
For pre-designed arrangements in green flower foam (oasis), you should not remove the stems and re-cut. Simply because more holes made in the flower foam creates air pockets and decreases the likelihood your flowers will have the water access they need. Just refill water as needed!
Not quite! Although flowers, when still in plant form, appreciate sunlight, cut flowers are the exact opposite! Place your flowers in a cool, shady spot to help them last longer.
Cutting your stems on an angle increases the surface area through which stems drink water. This also prevents stems from sitting flush with the bottom of the vase, trapping air and causing blockages.
We feel your pain! Hydrangeas can be a wee bit temperamental. Here’s a trick to help revive your droopy friend! Fill your sink with lukewarm water, remove from arrangement and give your hydrangea a fresh cut, then submerge completely for 2 hours. Your hydrangea will drink water through its stem AND florets, and should become perky again. Recut once more before re-inserting into the design.
